UTC Leeds was the first University Technical College in the Leeds area. Based in the growing educational hub at Leeds South Bank, it is a new type of school created to teach students a range of scientific and technical skills to prepare them for a career in engineering and manufacturing.This huge newly renovated space had no internal decoration so looked a little sparse. We were approached to help develop some interesting and informative wall graphics.
The four different school houses (used to group the students) were represented by a famous scientist or engineer – a natural choice to symbolise and help reinforce the history of each. The project grew to encompass key facts and timeline information.
